Geology Emphasis Areas

Geology instruction at SDSM&T provides training at both the undergraduate and graduate levels through the Ph.D.  Students completing the program become employed by mining companies, geologic consulting firms, science laboratories, museums, geological agencies (U.S. Geological Survey, SD Geological Survey), various Local, State, and Federal agencies (regulating, planning, and scientific), as well as continuing in graduate school.  Emphasis areas of our program are listed below.  Click the links for more details about each area..
